I can hardly believe my baby is 18. I am in denial. It has gone by so fast.
I remember being so scared having you in ICU when you were born and now look at you 6'4". You were a 9lb baby with all of the premies that weighed 3 & 4 lbs. You looked so big. You were a fighter from the beginning.I feel fortunate to be your mom and to watch you grow and come into

gh chair. J.J. asked me "Did Kaitlyn choose you?" and I didn't understand so I asked him what. I had to ask him twice what he meant and he was getting frustrated as he often does at my lack of comprehension. He finally asked "Did Heavenly Father let Kaitlyn choose you like he let me choose you?" I am still in awe over this event. I am honored and privileged. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I am forever glad that you chose me.So here are 18 reasons why I choose you for the BEST son ever.

Happy birthday, JJ. I would have to add to that list that you sat with my scared little kindergartener every day on the bus when you were in 7th grade so he wouldn't cry. You will always have a special place in my family. Thanks!
