John and I have been married for 19 years today. It's hard to believe. Time has gone by so fast. When he asked me to marry him, I told him I was scared because of all of the divorce I had seen in my family and his response was that "I'm not a quitter." It was the perfect thing to say. I didn't have a response because that is what it is all about. I have never written this down before, but it took me about seven years of marriage to completely trust that when we would argue he would not walk out. I suddenly realized that he is a man of his word and he honors his priesthood. He is not going to walk out because I don't agree with him. Sometimes he probably wishes I was still a little more like I was in the first seven years when I was afraid to voice my opinion, but he is the one that has given me the strength to do say what I feel.
The best times of my life being married to John. He is my best friend. When someone asks if you could do something with anyone in the world who would I do it with, I always want to do it with John. He spoils me and treats me like a princess. We can laugh and tease each other too. Thank you John for the best 19 years of my life. I love you more than words can say.
